On the other hand, animal husbandry must face the changing social and political challenges such as animal welfare and sustainability.

Only innovations in products and processes can provide answers to these urgent questions, in order to ultimately minimise the increasing cost pressure.

In this sense, EuroTier as the world's leading trade fair is an ideal platform to demonstrate the networking of the industry and to connect with farmers internationally at a great live event.

The overall uncertain political and societal conditions naturally have significant effects on agriculture, especially livestock farming. It is one of our most important target segments in this industry, and their concerns are ours. Despite the current challenges, we expect the market to develop steadily due to the existing population, and we anticipate being part of this growth. We anticipate a logical continuation of cycles, including replacement procurement, among other factors.

We address the current major tasks in agriculture with a wide range of models. Merlo offers various configurations of telescopic loaders, ranging from simple basic models to technically more complex high-end products. For every application, we strive to find the best and most suitable price-performance ratio. Through our extensive service package, we aim to support the full operational readiness of the machines to the best of our ability. From my perspective, the specific focus on animal breeding and alternative energy in the EuroTier trade fair is not just a goal but also a clear mandate. It reaches customers worldwide in a physical format, and as a niche and specialized provider of individual handling solutions, this event is particularly important for us.

We have been participating in EuroTier since 1998. We are impressed by the high level of expertise among the people who visit us. The industry's decision-makers come to Hannover, where we can engage with them personally and on an equal footing.

Following a two-year break, we are delighted that EuroTier will once again be opening its doors to a professional audience from around the globe on 12 November 2024. We are expecting the world's leading trade fair for professional animal production and livestock management to provide answers to the question of how an unbroken supply of food is possible in the light of current events.

Agriculture is facing a balancing act consisting of increased productivity while ensuring resource efficiency and input minimisation at the same time. The agricultural machinery industry is making a significant contribution to this with its innovative technological solutions.

We look forward to presenting new products and solutions at EuroTier that will help our customers to boost their productivity and use resources efficiently. Increasing digitalisation and automation with simple handling at the same time are playing a crucial role in this.

Agriculture is currently having to face up to several major challenges: climate change, rising energy and raw material costs, international conflicts and much more besides. Farms are increasingly battling with changing climatic conditions and the increasing number of environmental regulations that have to be observed. We are well aware of this difficult situation. As a family-owned company, we see it as our duty to develop appropriate solutions so that agricultural operations can remain in existence and be operated sustainably.

‘We innovate animal farming’ has therefore always been our objective at Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG. It stands for the evolution of existing livestock management concepts, but also for the design and implementation of new, innovative solutions. We strive to create economic concepts for farmers that take animal welfare, work efficiency through automation as well as sustainable building and emission reduction into consideration in equal measure. Focus is also placed on developments on the part of the legislator, the downstream sector and consumer perspectives in this process. This is how we contribute to pioneering and future-oriented animal production.

We are looking ahead to the coming EuroTier with great expectations. EuroTier offers us an opportunity to present our building solutions and visions for more efficient agriculture to professional visitors and to engage in dialogue with them. There, we would like to inform our customers about new, sustainable options in agricultural buildings. We would like to show them how they can use their space even more efficiently with photovoltaic systems.

Farm animal husbandry in Europe has been under heavy pressure for years: legal requirements are becoming stricter and stricter, consumers are more demanding, and market prices barely cover the costs.
